I am a fashion designer specializing in textile selection, garment construction, and apparel product development. I earned my B.S. in Textiles and Fashion Design from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where my senior thesis collection inspired the creation of my independent fashion brand, Kelsey Grey.
Founded in 2019, Kelsey Grey was developed as a lifestyle brand focused on business professional and business casual apparel for young professionals. The brand merges classic American preppy style with a working-class spirit, emphasizing craftsmanship, functional design, and a distinctive use of patterns, textures, and monochromatic color palettes. Through Kelsey Grey, I have designed custom garments, developed ready-to-wear concepts, created technical design packages, sourced textiles, and communicated directly with manufacturers to bring products from concept to production.
In addition to my independent design work, I serve as a custom clothier at NL Suits, where I guide clients through fabric selection, garment customization, and fit development for made-to-measure clothing. This experience has strengthened my understanding of textiles, garment construction, and the relationship between design, fit, and customer experience.
My design philosophy centers on craftsmanship, versatility, and thoughtful textile selection. I am passionate about creating garments that blend sophistication with practicality while celebrating the artistry and technical skill behind apparel design.
